A protected, shallow-bottomed Gloucester beach where the tide pulls way out and kids can wade for what feels like forever. Granite outcrops at the south end, the Annisquam Lighthouse across the channel, and a low-tide sandbar that creates natural pools. Among the most family-friendly beaches north of Boston.
