A 23-mile drive-on Gulf beach at the mouth of the Colorado River, anchored on the west end by Jetty Park and the Matagorda Bay Nature Park. Wide open sand, jetty fishing, kayak launches into Matagorda Bay, and primitive beach camping make this one of the least-developed Gulf beaches on the Texas coast.
