Kalaloch Beach

157151 US-101, Forks, WA 98331

A long flat sand beach along the southern Olympic National Park coast, 34 miles south of Forks — one of the few NPS beaches where dogs are allowed (the Hoh-to-Quinault stretch). The "Tree of Life" — a Sitka spruce suspended by its roots over an empty hollow above Kalaloch Creek — is the most-photographed tree in Washington.

Decent day for a beach walk.
