Cape Perpetua Scenic Area

2400 US-101, Yachats, OR 97498

A 2,700-acre USFS scenic area where the Coast Range plunges 800 feet straight into the Pacific — the highest viewpoint on the Oregon Coast (clear-day visibility to 70 mi). Devils Churn, Thor's Well, and Spouting Horn put on a violent show at high tide; the rocky intertidal at Cooks Chasm is one of the richest tide-pool zones in Oregon.

Great day for photography.
